Only 4 more shopping days left before ‘Firstaversary’ Day!
Not tryin to get in your bidness, but come on! How many Firstaversaries have you been invited to join in on, y’all. Does not have to be elab but just something to tell all of us here down at the Doctrine how much you luv the Wakefield Doctrine. Ya know what I mean, jellybean?
So, while we do not have anything too elaborate planned, other than to open our gifts, lets take a quick look at the Doctrine then and now. Or better yet, lets take a look at the “people” associated with this blog effort. The following have been encountered in the course of the last twelve months and are real people, unless they are imaginary (I’m looking at you Mel, out there in “Michigan”).
So, in no particular order…
Jason: author of the Enlightenment Project and Friend of the Doctrine; Jason wrote some Comments back in ‘aught nine’ that helped us believe that there were other “people” “out there”.
Pixieblonde Swindlehurst: (totally) scottian female Friend of the Doctrine, first recipient of a hat (for her damn head) outside of the group comprising Progenitors and DownSprings.
Studley: Reader from the UK, from some village called “East Ham-on-Rye”, Worcestershire County, Londonderry UK, has been with us for quite a while. Doesn’t say much, we would send a hat (for their damn head) if they would send an address/PO Box. (Just sayin).
K. Gracemount: sometime(s) muse, Friend of the Doctrine and denizen of SL.
Janie Sullivan: (what can we say!) Student at Millard Fillmore High (motto: ”la puberté , la liberte…morte”) Class of 2011, straight A’s and is a significant contributor to the Wakefield Doctrine (particularly in CSR 101 Posts) (and has two friends, Britney and Jimmy)
Ms. AKH: (DownSpring) valued contributoress to the Doctrine and (current) Speaker for the scotts*. Ms. AKH is the newest member of the group referred to as DownSprings and has written Comments of both on and off (the wall) variety, she has written several Posts. Not bad, not bad at all.
Mel Thompson: Friend of the Doctrine, creator and writer of the most excellent Spatula in the Wilderness, the blog that we are actually on the blogroll of/from. Mel also is Owner of a hat (for his damn head) and claims to wear it in “Michigan”…(hey Luucy!, where are my documentational photos of a WD hat on the head of a local dignitary?)
Renasaince Ronin: Friend of the Doctrine and raconteur extraordinaire, creator and writer of The Life and Times of a Renaissance Ronin a good friend and professional gadfly, (and a pretty fair heckler, too)
MJM: Commentationette-person and ‘oh-such-a-roger‘, has presented the (often much needed) balance to some of the more incendiary Comments seen on these pages.
Joanne: DownSpring and keeper of stats and records and Test Questions, she has been the most reliable of the go-to people around here and will be recognised as the Zena of the Questionnaires, (aka that questionnaire that we really, really have to get together and get out there…this year fer sure).
Mr.B: janitor par excellance, finder and purveyor of music videos and only partially imaginary, allowing for some unclaimed emotional baggage, Mr. B has been an invaluable aid in the development of the Doctrine, especially in the arena of that colored sawdust shit that janitors the world over have an endless supply of.
Phyllis: roger-who-sees-the-box, contributor to basic knowledge of the rogerian way, enunciated the core concept that rogers create a box for themselves and then forget that they did…
Glenn: DownSpring frequent contributor of ‘Comments’ and leading test subject in the ” focus, now focus on what does not exist” experiment. In real life he was the other person in the car the night the term Wakefield Doctrine came into existence (soon to be released screenplay); and is also a possible source of (a) RL environment for testing the efficacy of the WD in the helping industry (aka snake oil/EAP Division).
DownSpring#1: Downspring and heiress apparent of the whole fuckin mess, provided we can get this thing out of the semi-pathetic, self-referential clever-blog-wannabe and sell some tee shirts. (Coming soon this summer). Has a hat (for her damn head) in FL.
Scott:Progenitor, what can we say? “well, kinda quiet, seen around the AV Dept, great sense of humor, member of the Chess Club and FPA (Future Progenitors of America), musical influences: ARC, Outrage, and wrote one of the few genuinely good songs (written by a person I know personally): Baby X. (Hey Scott! would love to upload the song if it is available).
Roger: the. Progenitor…source of rogerian expressions (…”more mashed potatoes?, no thanks I think I’ll surpass on that”), currently on a solo project: Manassas Mail Bag/Blanket of Dry Leaves Gazette/Secessionist Rag…yeah thats the one. Has contributed more in a historical sense (of course!) than anyone other than the creator, reliable sounding board and amazingly aggravating at the same time. (Hey, he can do that, his name is on the door).
*Speaker for the scotts is a designation that goes to the scottian individual who manages to elevate themselves above the knee-jerk shoutings and provocation for its own sake that is often characteristic of their people. Award moves from person to person, as one becomes an even better spokesperson, the title is bestowed as warranted.

Congratulations on your first anniversary! Thanks for my honorable mention and looking forward to continuation of questionnaires and resolving my identity crisis.
