(Hey  everyone knows how much the Doctrine loves and appreciates ‘the Wikipedia’…we depend on it and are card-carrying, voluntary-contribution-paying members since…oh, I don’t know, 2009 or some time…any way…I had to ‘share’* this analysis of today’s song which is an Isley Brothers** song. As follows:

“Lyrically, the song explicates a troubled situation between a man and his girlfriend/wife, concerning the lack of quality time spent with each other. The man pleads that as much as he cannot wait to get home and spend time with her, he has a more pressing obligation/commitment to attend to work.”  ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Work_to_Do )

* share: to use, borrow (promise to return) and otherwise appropriate in order to put a Sherwin Williams patina on the shoat

** Jimi Hendrix played with these guys, ’til they fired him for putting on a solo set between the regular sets when the Isleys were on tour (lol, no! he didn’t!)

now this should be an easy one, just introduce the new feature…how hard can that be?…ok there’s 15 words already!

As you might have impugned (thanks, roger) from the sub-title, today’s Post will serve to introduce a new feature here at the Doctrine.

Now, I know what you clarklike Readers out there are thinking, “Dude, you are demonstrating your limitations by trying to stay up with the whole new Post everyday thing, what the hell are you doing introducing another feature?” and the scottian Readers, they’re all, “Hell yeah!! now I can say FUCK twice as often in Comments and he’ll get tired and resort to postin pitchas of nekkid people….FUCK”,  and our rogerian Reader will be overheard to say, “well, I’m sure you can try and when I feel motivated I will show you the right way to do an extra feature, maybe” Calm down everyone.

First of all, it will be a once a week feature, not every day.  Second of all, it will be presented as a Feature in the Wakefield Doctrine site, in the middle column of the Home Page to the left of that little globe thingie.
At present the ‘Working Title’ of the column is: Let’s decide what is Good and what is Bad,  right now!  See it?  Back on the homepage?  (No, glenn  you have to go back to the home page…the page you came to when you clicked in…clicked in is when you used your mouse…mouse!  the thing you are using to navigate through the site…navigate, that means go from one place to another on the internet…yeah I know you are too active and non-clarklike to be bothered with learning crazy, high tech stuff…just keep reading…well have her read it to you then).   Where was I?  Oh yeah, the Feature will be in that location so you will have to click on it to read it.
Yeah, roger I am copying Mel, thank you for reminding me… Mel, for you new Readers, is Mel Thompsom who is the Man as far as topical themes/cooking blogs go.  He does the Spatula in the Wilderness  blog which is totally a must read.  He does some cooking things, but a lot of topical Posts and while ‘we are not worthy’, we gonna give it shot writing this type of Post.  Once a week.  With a Wakefield Doctrine spin, of course.

We will announce the first installment of “Let’s Decide what is Good and what is Bad, Right Now!”  in the next day or so, which brings us to our Lesson of the Day! Not much of surprising or startling revelation-type Lesson, just a quick look at “how do each of three types react to change”.

According to the Wakefield Doctrine (the theory of clarks, scotts and rogers) clarks are nothing but change, rogers are totally against change and scottsscotts don’t really give a shit.  No, really!
The first two are obvious, almost too simple for you Readers.
First the clarks, one of the unmistakable hallmarks of  clarks is their conversational style.  When you are speaking to a clark, their side of the conversation does not even approach the ‘direct answer’ style of verbal interaction.  Ask a clark something as tabletop simple as “hey, clark how are you today” then its,  pull-up-a-chair,-put-your-feet-up, would-you-care-for-a-beverage? time.  But if you listen to the ‘answer’ you get back, it will be the most honest, comprehensive answer that your respondent is capable of, up to and including the reasons why they may or may not be “OK, thanks for asking”.
Now, rogers are also inclined to ascribe to the conversational “more is more” style.  But the content (of their respective responses) is where the difference lies, the answer of a roger to the question, “hey, roger how are you today” is more likely to be, “I was doing ok until you asked me that question and now you are coming to me and I am being forced to interupt my totally important activities and have to answer you and you won’t understand anyway, why do you keep doing this to me?”
As to our scottian friends, you go ask them!  I’ll just wait back here, with a nice door to my left and a handful of kibble. “hey scott, how are you today?”  The response is most likely, “great!! who the fuck wants to know?  I know you…(the next few seconds will consist of ranking the scott pushes you to see if you push back or not…depending on your response the rest of the answer will be:  a) “great, do you think I could do something for you that will make you feel greater, huh? do ya? or b) great, now here is what you can do for me that will make me feel greater…”

So there you have the Lesson of the Day.  Sorry I got off the topic of The New Feature!  Maybe I will spend a little more time talking about it before we do the first one.  The reason for this is that I am hoping to get some of the Progenitors and Downsprings to participate. (Hey Readers, you are welcome to participate too!) (lol, sorry just had to throw that in…)

So let’s get outa here, I’ve got to get to work and try to earn enough money to hire someone to show me how to get mad hits. (I mean jeez, I went to a couple of “I’m a lonely girl in the big City, listen to Me” blogs and looked at the Comments.  Jesus Christ!  One Post:  “Should I be extra nice to my Boss“…534 Comments! 534!! and before that there was a “Why does everyone not understand Me” 432! Comments!! Comments, not Visits, frickin Comments!  Really gettin sick of that.

Mr. B get yer fiddle-playin ass up here!  We need something in a cooking and/or new feature referencing music vid, stat y’all.

(I know, not food/new feature related vid, I have a reason for it.  There is a line Hendrix has in this clip, “yeah, I know I missed a verse, don’t worry about it”…putting this in ’cause when I did the re-read I realised that I got way off-topic on the Lesson of the Day…”don’t worry about it”)

but it really feels like a Monday

So, what would you like to talk about today?  Oh, thats right! you don’t talk, I do all the talking and you just sit out there and read these words…and then (all three of you) write a Comment, throw something back  ’cause you like the music video that I stick on the end of all these Posts.
How many Posts?  I’m glad you asked!  This Post (the one that you are reading, idiot) is number 151.  Now, of course the Progenitors will read this and get all excited, for reasons known only to Progenitors.  The rest of you just sit and try to read without moving your lips too much.

Alright, since I am not going to break my streak just because you people just sit there (or write Comments that are nothing more than demands for attention to your needs), then I think I will interview you for this Post.  Here is how it will work: you the Reader will be indicated by READER and I will be indicated by WD (standing for Wakefield Doctrine.) So let’s get this thing going, I am getting bored already.

WD: So… welcome to the Wakefield Doctrine.
READER: Hey what’s the music gonna be today, why don’t you play some more of the stuff that I like…

WD: Well first I would like to ask you some questions…
READER: Sure, whatever…do you know that I have a theory too?

WD: That’s really very interesting…so, tell us what keeps you coming back to this blog?
READER: Hey you’re real fuckin funny sometimes, ya know…I like it when you have those older vids on I don’t like it when you play the new music, that’s just a buncha crap anyway…I really don’t know why I bother coming to your site, I suppose it is just to be of help, I always try to help.

WD: So, you have a theory of your own?  Is it about the world or life or what?
READER: Oh it’s about everything, it’s a little like yours but it has more features and it is useful in a lot of ways, but you wouldn’t get a lot of it but some of it is really funny and interesting.

WD: And where would I find this theory, do you have a site or a blog or what are you doing with it currently?
READER: Oh yeah, it’s almost ready, I’m waiting because I have a couple of more features and then I will take it public in a big way, it will have a universal appeal and people just won’t believe it, it’s so cool and I’ll bet if I get a little lucky and the right people see it, it will really take off, not like this thing here, not that it’s bad or anything but it doesn’t really make anything happen, I think if you changed the layout a little and spent more time in giving practical advice you will get more people to read it.

WD: Why I am sure you’re absolutely correct.  So, tell me do you tell other people about this blog or the Wakefield Doctrine in general.
READER: Oh sure.  I will talk to people I know, but usually there are not situations where I can mention this, we spend so much time every day doing the things that need to be done, you know what you need?  You need to find other people to join you in writing this…you know a co-liberation of the ideas.  That way you would have a lot of other people writing and everyone would find it much more appealing.

WD: Yeah, so tell me…what do you like the most and dislike the most about the Wakefield Doctrine?
READER: Not enough music, more music ya gotta play more of the stuff that I like…and if you would let others in and somehow have them write a part of the Post each time you would find a greater appeal to everyone except for differentialists, those people are just plain weird and nobody likes them…noobody and if you just add a couple of more types and one or two Principles, not being critical but it is just that you have not quite covered it all…you’re welcome…call me if you want any help with that.

WD: Well I want to thank the Reader for sitting with us and letting us get an idea of how the Wakefield Doctrine (the theory of clarks, scotts and rogers) is doing these days.  Granted that this is totally a “placeholder Post”, but what the hell, I’ll find some clever photos/images and a music video and hit that ol Publish button.
…maybe tomorrow I will have a legitimate idea/topic for a Post…the good thing about these kinds of Posts, there is very little editing necessary.  Not sure why that is, probably because my mind is not racing on ahead of my fingers, there are no surprises in the stream of thought that I am trying to express.  Whatever.

( …cause it would be too weird…lol…yeah even for these guys…) (…cut it out Jimmy…not funny Britney…don’t you dare …err I have I question!!…)

Yes? virtual high school student? are we that unable to ‘get off stage’  that even with as poor an excuse for a Post as the one above, I am going to resort to this?…

( …yes, yes you are…lol…isn’t there supposed to be a ‘Lesson’ in the Wakefield Doctrine in every Post….and a follow-up questions?… )

…I suppose…ok real quick the Lesson in the Post today is just this, whether you think so or not, whether you want to or not, no matter what, the concept of the Wakefield Doctrine is a feature of your frame of reference (ask a clark, there’s one right over there!…of course you don’t see them…) and will be a factor in your life.  Now if you are a scott or a roger you are totally saying, “yeah? so what? this does not effect/affect me at all”.
Well, sorry little buddies you are only half as right as you would hope to be, to prove my point….today…don’t notice that roger.

…alright and the follow-up?

( …err…never mind…gotta get to school…normal virtual life…at school….have an awesome day…. )

now if a six, turned out to be nine

A) “Don’t Jump! You still have your incipient godhood”
B) “Jesus Christ no frickin way I could jump that far…”
C)” Come on, I won the bet fair and square…”

(Hey isn’t that the second time in the last 2 weeks we have seen a total religious photos for the ‘anchor shot’, they don’t be gettin freaky on us down at the Doctrine, are they?)

Good morning/afternoon/evening, glad you could stop by the Wakefield Doctrine today. Nothing special for today, still feeling around for the ‘style’ of presentation, playing with the new theme, seeing what can be done with the new fonts set and other tools Matt down at WP Help  has set up for us.  The  Progenitors and DownSprings are getting active, a number of projects started, others being finished up, we should see some interesting stuff  in the coming weeks.  The new theme with it’s ‘Lead Story’, and other magazine inspired layout features has been a lot of fun, am just starting to scratch the surface of the things that can be done with it.

***Any Readers who have skills at setting up/layout/production/display with these blogs and also a deep and abiding love for the Wakefield Doctrine are encouraged to contact us here (there is a Contact button on the right of the front page for e mail.) No pay, of course, but you would have my gratitude and I would not doubt arrange for you to get a hat (for your damn head) and other fashion items.  I write most of these Posts and I read lots and lots of other blogs and realize I am only barely scratching the upper level of the top of the surface in terms of effective presentation. So give me an ee and I will follow-up. (Of course, you need to want the Doctrine grow and flourish, but there will not be a test on your understanding on the theory of clarks, scotts and rogers.)***

The subject of today’s Post is: Economic Security and clarks, scotts and rogers
Not an un-timely topic, given the conditions out there in the world today, but as with everything relating to the Doctrine, the ‘world out there’ aspect is not the primary issue.  Rather, it is how you experience/perceive the world that the Wakefield Doctrine is concerned with; the conditions that exist, (in this case) unemployment rates, consumer confidence, cost of living,  do not concern us.  What does is whether you are a clark, scott or roger. It goes like this:
scotts are the least bothered/affected/concerned with economic conditions.  This is because they exist in a fundamentally hostile world, one of predator/prey. A scott does not worry about the future and so has the least of the ‘oh my god what will become of us..’ thinking, they are focused on today, here and now.
rogers are bothered/affected/concerned with economic condition, but in a more general sense.  Being social/herd/group orientated (to use the rogerian term), rogers react to what they are told is the condition of the society/culture as a whole, as a group.  Of the three, rogers are the ones who watch the TV news because that information is always presented in terms of how conditions are for the group/most people/the herd.  A roger is focused on the past and they will have almot no emotional reaction to conditions in the future  (If some one starts a story,  “when I was…”, you are listening to a roger).
clarks.  Why even bother asking? (Never mind the economic conditions), a clark  is and can be worried about everything.  It is the nature of clarks, believing in the intrinsic value of knowledge as they do, to be able and willing to believe anything.  clarks take ‘being open-minded’ to a near pathological level.  They can believe anything because they do not believe in anything.
Here is the difference:
What makes rogers so ‘established’ and solid, is they have faith in the world as they know it.  rogers do not realize they have faith, they simply exist in a world that is a given and therefore not even subject to question.
Scotts, don’t bother with stuff like that.  They sleep, eat, defecate, fornicate and sleep.  A very ‘here and now’ existence.  But as do rogers, scotts do not think, ‘hey this is cool, I don’t need to worry about the future’.  They just live and act.
clarks do not have that luxury.  clarks know that there is no limit to knowledge, they know that they must acquire as much knowledge as possible and they know they never will.  clarks know that the future has possibility but they know that there is no reliability to the future.  They can believe in anything, they don’t believe in anything.
Worry about economic conditions?
We have Winner! Hands down, no runner up, by a total fuckin landslide, we have a Winner! The most likely of the three to worry about, be concerned with in a negative, non-productive way see the future and not like it…lets hear it for the clarks!!!

Oh-kay!  That was a little…er maybe someone needs to get a(nother) hobby…is there a Writer in the audience?…oh my god! my Narrator!! what have you done to my Narrator!! someone please do something!!! Don’t just sit there!!… at your computer desks, trying to pay bills…waiting for the spouse to get out of the shower…do something!!

You know, I gots to credit a scott for one of the more recent revelations about the Doctrine…what he helped elucidate was that the obstacle of one type (clark, scott or roger) writing these Posts to be read by the other two (clark, scott or roger) is not insurmountable…all that was necessary was for the Writer to understand that each of the three respond to a different cue…clarks to insight based on superior understanding, scotts on dominance expressed as overwhelmingly obvious skill in execution and rogers  being presented with an emotional component that is un-definably part of a larger herd.
thanks glenn (he did not, of course express it that way…driving through Wakefield one night it was more a matter of:  ”fuck that!! HEY!! ya wrong…we will kill you…ok…I see”), the Wakefield Doctrine thanks you for your work in furthering the understanding and application of this thing of ours.

Whew!! (are we done for today, yet?) (god, I hope so…)

Being a totally beneficent Narrator, I will reward glenn first and then give the rest of us a video we will enjoy…

…hey Slovenians!! where you at?  We have a new globe thingie on the homepage that shows red dots for visitor locations, and we don’t show Slovenia in da the house…come on…come back, there is a reward, will send you a hat ( zakaj vaš prekleti vzglavje )!  really, just visit and then make a Comment of use the Contact thing and let me know where to send the Fashion items.
